MCE works closely with the senior management of Dalradian advising them on media and stakeholder relations.
From the initial idea to project delivery, MCE delivered a range of services
MCE has been working with Dalradian for over eight years to help deliver events, media relations, stakeholder engagement and political monitoring.
Dalradian has submitted a planning application for an underground gold-silver-copper mine in west Tyrone. This environmentally responsible project will be Europe’s first carbon neutral mine and will bring substantial community and economic benefits. It represents one of the largest private sector investments ever west of the Bann and will create c.1,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs when operational.
Modern mining is a new industry for Northern Ireland and as with any unfamiliar technology the challenge is to explain to the public and stakeholders how the project will work and the benefits it will bring. As a regionally significant project, there is a diverse range of stakeholders, not just in Tyrone but across Northern Ireland.
MCE is delivering an integrated service encompassing stakeholder engagement and PR & media relations, as well as providing counsel on a diverse range of issues that impact external communications. Our team works closely with Dalradian’s senior management team and staff to help showcase this once-in-a-generation opportunity for Northern Ireland.
- Develop key messaging and a range of communication pieces to explain project benefits
- Manage media relations with local, regional, national and international media
- Engage with a wide number of stakeholders across Northern Ireland, including a pre-application consultation event that saw attendance of more than 270 in a rural area
